About Dr. Carmona
Dr. Carmona has been practicing chiropractic since 2009. However, her experience with chiropractic care goes back much further. As a young dancer and athlete, Dr. Carmona endured her injuries, and has personally experienced the ways that chiropractic care can improve a person’s health and quality of life. Because of this, she is passionate about what she does and works to promote a lifetime of wellness for her patients. Dr. Carmona treats a variety of issues including but not limited to, prenatal/pregnancy care, low back and neck pain, headaches/migraines, sports related injuries, extremity injuries as well as focusing on pediatric chiropractic care and family wellness.
With a unique philosophy on patient care, Dr. Carmona goes above and beyond to show that she is focused on her patients’ optimal health and well-being. She makes it a priority to provide them with personalized experiences, by asking questions to get to the root of their pain and creating treatment plans that are most effective for them.
Dr. Carmona received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences-Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of California-Riverside. She is also a Webster certified chiropractor from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). In addition, Dr. Carmona is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, The California Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and has served as a volunteer chiropractic physician for many local schools and organizations.

Techniques
Pregnancy-Webster Technique
Dr. Carmona is a Webster certified chiropractor, performing safe, gentle and effective chiropractic techniques to help alleviate stress and/or pull to the muscles, joints and ligaments in the pelvic region. This allows for better positioning for baby, pelvic movement and comfort for mom and baby throughout the pregnancy.

Webster Technique
Over 30 years ago, Dr. Larry Webster, DC [1945-1997] shared his namesake technique with the chiropractic profession to address sacral subluxation. Since then, the Webster Technique and/or its clinical effects has been described in a number of papers from case reports, case series, survey studies, and commentaries.
The technique was taught by Webster as involving a specific sacral analysis, adjustment and related soft tissue release to be used throughout pregnancy. Due to the empirical observations that pregnant women under chiropractic care with breech fetal pregnancies were reporting correction of fetal position to vertex following the use of the Webster Technique, the Webster Technique was described in its early days as a “breech turning technique.”
In 1999 Connie Webster, then ICPA Executive Director and Ohm implemented the ICPA Webster Technique Proficiency Certification class. By the following year, the terms “in-utero-constraint” and “breech” were eliminated from the language with the technique simply called, “The Webster Technique.” The reasoning behind this position was that both terms implied the treatment of a condition - the intentional focus of care on an unborn malpresented/ malpositioned fetus rather than the correction of sacral subluxation to restore normal function.
Pediatric Chiropractic
Pediatric Chiropractic care has become increasingly popular. Many of the very same spinal problems seen in adults began as early as birth. The birth process is potentially traumatic and can place mechanical stress on the fetus. Dr. Carmona offers safe and gentle chiropractic care for children of all ages (including infant care).
